Invest in a proper country pile. Combining shearling-style fleece with modern technologies, our retro-inspired Outpost Jacket is a true cold-weather midlayer for compromise-free mountain warmth with serious old-school vibes.
Our vintage-style Outpost Jacket is built from deep-pile Polartec® 300 Classic for effective insulation, even in extreme cold. It also comes with high-stretch double-weave Matrix™ overlays for added protection across the shoulder and chest without any impact on vital mountain breathability. Additional features include a lightweight stretch finish at the hem, cuff and hood, plus a large fleece-lined chin guard for protection from the elements. They also include a full-length front YKK VISLON® zip, a pair of harness-friendly zipped hand pockets and a secure chest pocket with sufficient space for a phone, a GPS and an assortment of quick-grab valuables.
If you want technical mountain performance in a wearable everyday style, the new Outpost Jacket is ideal for long winter days in the Great Outdoors and for all those cold-weather moments in between.
How to measure.
Chest: Measure the full circumference of your chest just below your armpits.
Waist: Find the top of your hip and measure the full circumference around your body.
Arm length: Measure horizontally from the centre of your back, across the shoulder, over a naturally bent elbow and down to the wrist fold.
While all our garments are sized to these measurements, you will find that the cut on jackets designed for use in more extreme environments will be slightly more generous in the expectation that these designs will be used with additional/thicker midlayers. If you plan on using a jacket like this with fewer layers beneath it, please keep this in mind when selecting your size.
All garments are designed and fitted to suit their intended end use. See below for a general description of our fit categories:
Regular: Neither slim nor loose. Regular fit items are the perfect balance of form fit and ease of movement.
Slim: A streamlined silhouette. Cut trim following the contours of the body. Expertly placed articulation of seams and the use of stretch fabric ensure maximum freedom of movement in these close-fitting items.
Relaxed: Our more generous fit. Cut loosely through the body allowing for ease of movement and additional layering.
Expedition: Designed specifically to accommodate the layering system and equipment required for high altitude and polar expeditions.
