Built for lightweight ascents and to help you pare back kit on remote, multi-day expeditions, the Kinetic Alpine 2.0 is a versatile, high stretch, waterproof shell for hikers, climbers and mountaineers.
It uses soft and quiet waterproof Proflex™ fabric with a breathable waterproof membrane, 100% recycled face fabric and a fast-wicking backer to shift moisture during high-energy ascents. Reinforced panels across the hip, arm, shoulders and hood protect against the abrasion and exposure of tough, technical climbs. Designed with a closer fit than a traditional shell, its flexible construction is combined with a range of high-spec features.
For all-day dryness, comfort and mobility, it has water-resistant AquaGuard® zips, a helmet-compatible hood, and easy adjustment at the hood, hem and cuffs. Tough but flexible, waterproof but breathable, this is the ultimate ‘soft’ hardshell for committed alpine adventure.
How to measure.
Chest: Measure the full circumference of your chest just below your armpits.
Waist: Find the top of your hip and measure the full circumference around your body.
Arm length: Measure horizontally from the centre of your back, across the shoulder, over a naturally bent elbow and down to the wrist fold.
While all our garments are sized to these measurements, you will find that the cut on jackets designed for use in more extreme environments will be slightly more generous in the expectation that these designs will be used with additional/thicker midlayers. If you plan on using a jacket like this with fewer layers beneath it, please keep this in mind when selecting your size.
All garments are designed and fitted to suit their intended end use. See below for a general description of our fit categories:
Regular: Neither slim nor loose. Regular fit items are the perfect balance of form fit and ease of movement.
Slim: A streamlined silhouette. Cut trim following the contours of the body. Expertly placed articulation of seams and the use of stretch fabric ensure maximum freedom of movement in these close-fitting items.
Relaxed: Our more generous fit. Cut loosely through the body allowing for ease of movement and additional layering.
Expedition: Designed specifically to accommodate the layering system and equipment required for high altitude and polar expeditions.
